Leader Notes. Monday June 15th 2009: Neil Welton to begin his second term in office as leader of Monarchy Wales today. Deputy leader Tristram Roberts will also begin his second term in office. Wednesday July 1st 2009: The vast majority of people within Wales support the Monarchy and value the work of the current Prince of Wales, a new survey for the BBC in Wales has found. When asked only 29% of people within Wales said they did not believe there should be a Monarchy in The Principality of Wales. Details about this new poll by here. The new survey was commissioned for a live televised debate entitled 'A Prince For Wales?' which was broadcast last night. Earlier this month, Neil Welton, the leader of 'Monarchy Wales', announced that he would not be participating in this debate because the vast majority of people in Wales support The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Monarchy. Thursday June 25th 2009: The Princess Royal shall open the Lly Eleanor Extra Care Scheme at Shotton Lane, Shotton in Deeside (Clwyd) on Thursday July 30th. The Princess Royal will then be opening The Kinsale (New Options) School at The Kinsale Hall, Llanerch-Y-Mor in Holywell, before opening Holywell Community Hospital on Halkyn Road in Holywell (Clwyd). Princess Anne will also open the new Pharmacy Unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital which is on Croesnewydd Road, Wrexham (also within Clwyd). Monday June 15th 2009: Thousands of people have lined the streets to cheer on The Queen and also The Duke of Edinburgh on Weymouth's seafront. As Her Majesty stepped on to The Esplanade a roar went up from the patriotic crowd of supporters both young and old. It was the first time The Queen had made an official visit to Weymouth since 1959. Sunday June 14th 2009: A desk rubber once owned and used by Princess Diana is set to fetch up to £300 at auction. Printed on the extra large eraser – it roughly measures six inches by six inches – are the words 'For Big Mistakes' and it also features words handwritten by Diana: 'D Spencer, Rickleworth Hall, Diss' and 'Diana' and 'Beware Bomb, Help'. Royal Briefing. Monday June 15th 2009: The Prince of Wales has written a book about how man has now become dangerously disconnected from nature. Harmony, published by Harper Collins, will be released in 2010 and will also be turned into a children's picture book in 2011. Full details here. In Other News: The Duke of Edinburgh got a "fantastic" reception when he arrived in Barrow by train on June 12th 1959. Sunday June 14th 2009: The Queen is the proud owner of an allotment. The royal sustainable vegetable patch has been dug inside the forty-acre grounds of Buckingham Palace. A news report by here. In Other News: The Queen received dozens of tins of beans when she recently visited a Greater Manchester town to mark the 50th anniversary - of the British baked bean. Her Majesty was accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh to visit the Heinz factory in Wigan. The Queen was also presented with a photograph of Her mother, who visited in June 1959, by Malcolm Hull, 62, the factory's longest-serving employee. A full BBC news report via here.

Wednesday June 24th 2009: 'Skill Force' is a national charity working across England, Scotland and Wales to help young people begin to unlock their potential before they leave school. The organisation uses the talents of former Service Personnel, to deliver inspirational and motivational activities, known as "preventative intervention programmes" to about 9,500 young people each year. Prince William became Patron of Skill Force in February 2009 and has recently praised this organisation in an article. More. Sunday June 21st 2009: Over fifty years of Royal Visits to Wales are now being celebrated in an updated ITV Archive. Highlights include Her Majesty The Queen's Silver Jubilee "Tour Of Wales" in 1977, The Investiture Tour Of Wales by The Prince of Wales in 1969, and visits to Wales by Prince William from the early 1990s to the present day.
